China's robotics industry is just emerging from its 'first year', yet Qu Dao-Kui is already discarding 'traditional robots'. As CEO of Siasun Robot & Automation Co. and president of the China Robot Industry Alliance, he appeared at the Robot Industry Promotion Conference held on December 13th in Wuhu, a typical robotics industrial base in China. On June 13, 2007, Dean Xu and two other members from the Siasun Research Institute attended a two-day project team meeting for the EU-India-China project (ImportNET project) held at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Nine partner units from seven countries (UK, Germany, Finland, Denmark, Austria, Croatia, India, and China) participated in the meeting. Each unit reported on their work, summarized their progress, and jointly discussed and formulated plans for the next phase. After the meeting, all project team members visited Siasun for a tour and discussed cooperation and development issues between Siasun and CADCAM.
