Exploring international cooperation models to accelerate the internationalization of Siasun - Reflections after the Beijing plenary session of the China-Europe-India project
On June 13, 2007, Dean Xu and two others from the Siasun Institute attended a two-day ImportNET project meeting held at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Nine partner organizations from seven countries (UK, Germany, Finland, Denmark, Austria, Croatia, India, and China) participated, presenting their work, summarizing progress, and collaboratively planning future tasks. Following the meeting, the project team visited Siasun for a tour and discussions regarding Siasun's collaborative development with CADCAM.
This project holds unique significance compared to Siasun's other endeavors. It establishes a platform for cross-industry, cross-cultural product development collaboration, allowing Siasun to participate in platform development based on its needs. Upon completion, this platform will facilitate convenient collaborative product development with foreign companies, significantly enhancing Siasun's international reputation as a project member. During the project, Croatia's CADCAM company will collaborate with Siasun on mobile robot design, enabling Siasun to leverage CADCAM's advanced mechanical design and analysis methods, standardize its development processes, and lay the groundwork for internationalization.
With Siasun's rapid growth and increasing international collaborations, a platform and method for international cooperation are urgently needed. This project represents an exploratory attempt by the Institute in international collaboration. Its success will provide a foundation for Siasun's internationalization, significantly accelerating its global expansion.
