The Hangzhou Smart Manufacturing Industry Alliance (preparatory) is jointly initiated by Hangzhou Siasun Robot Automation Co., Ltd., and co-initiated by Hangzhou Chengyi Network Technology Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Jira Technology Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Leishen Laser Technology Co., Ltd., and other units. The initiating member units cover multiple fields, including robot R&D and manufacturing, intelligent equipment system integration, key and functional components, MES systems, ERP systems, factory IoT, platform operation, market services, and downstream users.
Figure 1: Li Zhenggang, the chief initiator of the alliance preparation, speaks.
As the chief initiator of the alliance preparation, Li Zhenggang, general manager of Hangzhou Siasun, mentioned in his speech that smart manufacturing, simply put, is the "two-integration" of "automation" and "informationization." However, these four simple words, "two-integration," are not so simple for smart manufacturing engineering service companies and manufacturing enterprises, but rather a long and arduous task. Because different industries, different regions, different enterprises, and different product manufacturing processes have vastly different foundations and even more vastly different needs.
"As a robot and smart manufacturing engineering service company, Siasun has 30 years of technological accumulation and nearly 20 years of engineering application practice, with products and services covering more than 20 key application industries. However, the more deeply we delve, the more we feel that when facing such a huge market, the capabilities and accumulation of a single enterprise are far from enough. As the saying goes, "A lone hero is hard to rise, but many people working together can easily achieve success." What does this mean? In the field of smart manufacturing, it is not easy or fast for any enterprise to explore alone. Those focusing on automation need to cooperate with informationization upwards, while those focusing on informationization need to closely integrate with automation downwards. Those focusing on components and functional parts need to match the needs of complete machines or complete equipment enterprises. If everyone cooperates and complements each other's strengths, then "what is achieved by the combined strength of many is invincible; what is done by the combined wisdom of many is sure to succeed!" Therefore, in recent years, Siasun has become increasingly focused in its field, focusing more and more on product technology and service innovation, focusing on its strengths, and strengthening open cooperation in various aspects."
In fact, before deciding to initiate the establishment of the Hangzhou Smart Manufacturing Industry Alliance, Hangzhou Siasun has already conducted many successful cooperation attempts with many enterprises and universities. Using engineering projects or research projects as a link and application innovation as a driving force, we leverage each other's technological, experiential, and platform advantages to connect all key links in smart manufacturing, forming a collaborative model. For example, in several smart manufacturing projects such as Xio Elevator, Mengtian Doors, Hengyi Petrochemical, and Zhengte Shares, Siasun has achieved significant cooperation results with enterprises and institutions such as Jira Technology, Zhejiang Sirui, Jikong Technology, and Zhejiang University. By aggregating superior forces, we have greatly improved the efficiency of project demand communication, shortened the overall R&D and design cycle, and more effectively helped users solve the integration problem of "automation" and "informationization," avoiding resource waste and time consumption caused by poor connections. At the same time, relying on major scientific research projects, Siasun has taken the lead in carrying out vertical and horizontal technological R&D cooperation with a number of key component, functional component enterprises, intelligent equipment enterprises, and research institutes and universities, such as Tuofeng Technology, Shilan Micro, Leishen Laser, Zhejiang University, and Zhejiang University of Technology, achieving key technological breakthroughs and product commercialization in robot software systems, key components, functional components, and intelligent equipment system integration for various application industries.
Li Zhenggang, general manager, believes that the biggest characteristic of the alliance lies in focusing on the mutual cooperation and resource integration of various links in the industrial chain, aiming for win-win cooperation rather than homogeneous competition. "Therefore, we hope to establish the 'Hangzhou Smart Manufacturing Industry Alliance' to more closely connect the advantageous enterprises in key links of the smart manufacturing industry chain, build a 'regular communication and interactive' smart manufacturing service platform, amplify the functional value and demonstration leading role in promoting the regional robot and smart manufacturing industry, provide more users with more demand-oriented and efficient high-quality solutions, and accelerate the pace of smart manufacturing transformation and upgrading. After the establishment of the alliance, it will be oriented towards digital intelligent factory overall solutions with application industry-specific needs, relying on major engineering projects or scientific research projects, to form a crowdsourced R&D and innovation platform of "key and common technologies in the smart manufacturing industry + customized solutions"; it will use smart manufacturing system integration application innovation as a driving force, taking "+robot" and "robot+" as paths, to drive the integration of Hangzhou's information economy and advanced manufacturing, deeply promote the construction of the "Chengdong Smart Manufacturing Corridor," accelerate the improvement of Hangzhou's robot and smart manufacturing industry development potential, and comprehensively support the construction of Hangzhou's "China Manufacturing 2025" demonstration zone."

Li Yongwei, director of the Technical Equipment Office of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, delivered a speech at the event. He hopes that the alliance can effectively play a collaborative role, contributing ideas and suggestions to the steady economic growth, structural reform, and sustainable development of Zhejiang Province. He requires the alliance to achieve the following five points: information interoperability, technical mutual assistance, demonstration leadership, industrial driving, and service follow-up, truly playing the "service" and "driving" functions. Zhejiang Province's smart manufacturing has been at the forefront of the country, and we should have confidence, but also see the problems, focusing on a global perspective and international height.
Figure 3: Wang Mingxing, director of the Smart Manufacturing Office of Hangzhou Municipal Department of Economy and Information Technology, delivers a speech.
Wang Mingxing, director of the Smart Manufacturing Office of Hangzhou Municipal Department of Economy and Information Technology, also stated that the alliance should be "open, collaborative, and win-win," assisting the smart manufacturing promotion work of Hangzhou and Zhejiang Province, and achieving "triple benefits" for smart manufacturing engineering service companies, manufacturing enterprises, and the government. At the event, Lu Guodong, executive vice president of Zhejiang University Robot Research Institute, shared a keynote speech on the topic of several thoughts on interconnected robots and robot interconnection. More than 100 enterprise representatives and technical experts gathered at the event and conducted in-depth dialogues and discussions on two topics: "Smart Manufacturing Industry Alliance and Ecosystem" and "Smart Manufacturing Transformation and Upgrading Path." Those who share the same aspirations are not separated by mountains and seas. The Hangzhou Smart Manufacturing Industry Alliance hopes to join hands with more like-minded partners in Hangzhou to complement each other's strengths and grow together; it will also strengthen exchanges and cooperation with smart manufacturing service platforms in other regions of Zhejiang Province, and under the premise of mutual understanding and support, promote more and wider-ranging project cooperation and innovation breakthroughs!
