Intelligent Manufacturing Driven by Machine Intelligence - People's Daily
From smart products to smart equipment, smart manufacturing, smart design, smart management, and more, all of this constitutes the arrival of the intelligent age. At this conference, Qu Daokui, president of Siasun Robot & Automation Co., Ltd., focused on the industrial intelligent revolution. Qu Daokui believes that: "The peak and ultimate form of intelligent machines is the robot, which will become the true core driving force of this manufacturing model transformation, and the sustainability of robots will accompany the development of human society."
Siasun Robot President - Qu Daokui
Why is the industrial intelligent revolution called the fourth industrial revolution, and how is it different from the previous three industrial revolutions? Qu Daokui gave a popular explanation: "The first three industrial revolutions emphasized efficiency, quality, cost, and scale. This industrial revolution emphasizes flexibility, intelligence, and resource conservation. The first three industrial revolutions were supported by what we call machines. The fourth industrial revolution is supported by what we call intelligent machines, which is what we are talking about today as machine intelligence. The arrival of the intelligent machine age is more about using the power of wisdom to enhance not only the power of metal, but also the human knowledge processing ability and the power of knowledge rules."
In Qu Daokui's view, the peak and ultimate form of intelligent machines is the robot, which will become the true core driving force of this manufacturing model transformation. He believes that the ultimate goal of intelligent machines is to achieve the "intelligence +" era, not simply robots. From the 1.0 era of robots to the 2.0 era, robots are also in the process of evolving from machines to humans. The 2.0 era emphasizes more the intelligent changes to the environment. In the new robot era, the required technical characteristics are completely different from those of past robots. Robots have become a technological ecosystem, not simply a single technology.
McKinsey predicts that in the next few years, robots will have a trillion-dollar market, and at least a trillion-yuan market in China. Why can robots support this new industrial revolution and the transformation of human society? Qu Daokui said: "The sustainability of robots will accompany the development of human society, and the endpoint of robots is almost invisible, but you can see the endpoint of humanity." He believes that, from a broad perspective, robots have jumped out of the manufacturing field and begun to enter the fields of medical health, national defense, and services, almost covering all aspects of human society. Robots are typical platform technologies. Robots, like "Internet +," are also "Robot +." On this platform, manufacturing, national defense, life, consumption, medical health, education and training, transportation and logistics, etc., can all be changed or subverted on the robot platform.
