Japan's Henn-na Hotel, once a Guinness World Record holder, expands again
Henn-na Hotel, the world's first robot-staffed hotel, opened in Nagasaki, Japan in 2015, attracting international attention. A third Henn-na Hotel is set to open this year. The new hotel will be located near the One Piece themed amusement park LAGUNASIA in Aichi Prefecture, with an expected opening date of August 1st. The two-story hotel will cover approximately 4300 square meters and feature 100 guest rooms. The estimated price per night is 20,000 Japanese Yen (approximately 1233 Chinese Yuan).

Henn-na Hotel employs multilingual robots as receptionists, porters, and cleaners. Each room has a small concierge robot to assist guests. The hotel uses a keyless system, with facial recognition for all access points. The new Henn-na Hotel lobby will also feature a 7-meter-long dinosaur model to greet guests, with a mother and baby dinosaur at the reception desk handling check-in procedures. The hotel only employs 7 human staff members, who handle tasks that the robots cannot perform.
Henn-na Hotel is operated by the Japanese travel company HIS Co. Currently, there are three Henn-na Hotels in Japan: the first in Nagasaki Prefecture, the second near Tokyo Disneyland, and the third in Aichi Prefecture. HIS Co.'s first Henn-na Hotel holds a Guinness World Record for having the most robot employees. The company plans to open chain stores in 100 locations nationwide within the next 3 to 6 years.
