Vice Premier Zhang Dejiang inspects Siasun Robot & Automation Co., Ltd.
On the afternoon of February 24, 2012, Zhang Dejiang, member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, Vice Premier of the State Council, and member of the Party Leadership Group, accompanied by Wang Min, Secretary of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, and Chen Zhenggao, Governor of Liaoning Province, inspected the IC equipment workshop and product realization center of Siasun Robot & Automation Co., Ltd. Qu Daokui, President of Siasun Robot & Automation Co., Ltd., introduced the company's development and its independent innovation achievements to Vice Premier Zhang. When the Vice Premier heard that the company currently has a research and development team of more than 1,300 people, and in just 12 years since its establishment, it has independently developed more than 70 new types of industrial robot products, achieved more than 100 major technological breakthroughs, and drafted and formulated 5 national industry standards, he nodded frequently, highly affirming the company's independent innovation capabilities and development speed.
In Workshop 3, the Vice Premier showed great interest in learning about Siasun's representative product, AGV. Siasun began researching and developing AGV products as early as 1991, and the AGV project became one of the national "863" program projects. As the only company in China with completely independent intellectual property rights for AGV, Siasun has filled many national gaps. Currently, Siasun's AGV products are at the leading position in the industry and are widely used in various industries. They have been successfully exported to countries such as the United States, Canada, Mexico, India, and Russia. After conducting in-depth research on scientific and technological innovation and the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, the Vice Premier encouraged scientific researchers to seize opportunities, greatly enhance their independent innovation capabilities, promote the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, and provide a knowledge base and technological support for the in-depth implementation of the scientific outlook on development, adjustment of the economic industrial structure, promotion of changes in the development mode, and the achievement of faster and better economic and social development.
